Magnesium fluoride is insoluble in water. Its melting point is 2130 °C.
It is a low refractive index film with stable chemical properties.
Magnesium fluoride is transparent in the infrared and visible regions. It is mainly used in high-end lenses and high optical requirements, such as optical filters and lens for monocular cameras.
